Muses Host their Quarterly 'Open Letters' Contest for 2018-19 Season!
Write an open letter TO a universal concept (common examples: Chaos, Circle of Life, Darkness, etc.) you feel could benefit from the wisdom of your words. Think about what this Concept/Theme means to you. In your letter, personify the Concept/Theme as if it were someone you cared about or someone you were offering advice to. Ask the questions you've always wanted to ask, or share thoughts and advice. To Participate: You must be between the ages of 8-18 and have Parent permission to submit- All contact information MUST be sourced by an Adult legal guardian.
It's simple: Take a universal concept like Love or Fear and in an open letter write the things that come to mind that you wish to share as if it were a real person you cared about. Put the Theme/Concept in the spotlight. Be as open and honest as you can and communicate the thoughts, feeling and advice that come from your heart.
Submissions should be written in Letter format ('To' and 'From' and can be up to 500 words)
